how many people own australian shepherds?
I'm getting a aussie in 2 weeks and I want to know people's personal experiences with them and know if they are good dogs
They are FANTASTIC dogs. Fast learners, great with kids and people, wonderfuly tempered, just all around good dogs, with soft fur…..

I dont think I have a single complaint…although they do have a lot of energy, so be prepared. It's never been an issue for us, since we live in the country and all our dogs get plenty of excercise, but make sure you stay on top of that.

i own one. their preatty cool but sometimes they can get annyoing. they bark a lot but the way to shut them up is just to kick them in the stomach. they will stop barking for a while after that. but overall therere ok dogs

I have one they are very friendly, but are also very high energy dogs so make sure you take them out on daily walks.

I don't own one, but I have met/seen some. They are gorgeous to look at, which I'm sure you already know. They also have wonderful temperaments, from what I've seen, heard, and read. They are focussed dogs, and loyal to their owner. They love exercise, and are very intelligent. All round good dogs, in my opinion. Good luck.

I've owned a Aussie all my life. They are very intelligent & high energy. You must give them something to do or they can be destructive. My son does agilty & plays frisbee with her daily. Our current Aussie was housebroken in 2 weeks. As, long as you have time to give them plenty of exercise they are great !
