    Nevermind about the …
Nevermind about the fetching, they do, however, you really need to get him obedience classes.

    Did you send the …
Did you send the dog to puppy classes? Obedience classes? These classes help make it easier for dogs to learn and b/c aussies are working dogs, they probably will go into advanced obedience classes happily.

    Being smart don’t …
Being smart don’t mean he’ll fetch. Some dogs that are independent won’t play fetch b/c they have a mind of their own. I don’t know about aussies, but I do know they are a farm dog so my previous statement probably rings true for them. You should try some agility, tracking, advanced obedience, or competitive herding. Some fun work for him to do would really brighten his day. U need to look at what he was bred to do and see if you can get him into that. Aussies are working dogs.

    Australian …
Australian shepherds are very loyal and comforting to have around. When i got hurt from falling down onto a rock a long way from my house my Aussie never left my side for hours.

    These are the BEST …
These are the BEST dogs ever, provided you are willing to provide the training and attention. I take care of three small children now and then, and my Aussie keeps them in line, (gently), and nudges them when I ask them not to do something. He is truly a help; very protective but not overly so. I’ll never have a different type of dog if I can help it!

its only fair anyway. And keeps them healthier,
