Why does Border Collies & Australian Shepherds look so much alike?

It's just genetics. They are also similar in personality and stuff too. They probobly once were the same dog a long time ago when not as many breeds existed. All dogs used to be wolfs remember, and slowley over time we domesticted them and split them up into diffrent groups/breeds. They probobly were the same awhile ago and slowley 2 diffrent groups were formed.

that is true, they do come in different colors. im sure border collies and australian shepherds are related in some way, same genetic gene somewhere. but honestly couldnt tell ya
